Introduction

From an early age Chris has always been a keen Dance Music enthusiast. As a toddler he was always on the dance floor 1st; attracted by the loud music, lighting displays & dance floor atmosphere. As he grew older his taste in music matured and he began to swim deeper in to the 'Dance Music Scene'. By the age of 13 he was a dedicated listener to many of North London's Pirate Radio Stations, following mainly Old Skool Hardcore/Darkside. At the age of 14 he had been to the Roller Express, Edmonton, 2 times (it's difficult when you're that old!!). Chris by now was completely addicted to the Underground Dance Scene.

Step 1

1993 For his 15th Birthday he received a pair of Soundlab belt drive turntables and a simple 2 channel mixer. Collecting Old Skool records (both Hardcore/Darkside) and later when a firm division was made between the 2 styles (Happy Hardcore & Jungle / Drum'n'Bass) he choose Drum'n'Bass. At his school he volunteered to DJ for the Schools' Disco's he thus collected plenty of House & Garage records to accommodate the different tastes of the students. His final school disco there he raised £400 for Amnesty International from the door takings, Chris was 17.

Step 2

At 18 Chris joined University and became a resident DJ at UCL Union Easy Js bar playing their weekly mixing House & Garage. Not finding any opportunities in the Drum'n'Bass scene Chris slowly began to stop collecting it ceasing completely in 1997. He was now fully concentrating his musical goals in House & Garage. During his time at University Chris played at Velvet Underground (now Velvet Rooms) a few times and many other Central London Bars. After leaving University 1999 Chris struggled to find employment but once he was steadily employed he began to focus back on his music career.
